Angela’s new interactive Music Appreciation course, entitled ‘The Romantic Revolution,’ will be held on Tuesday mornings 10am – 12pm at New Park Community Centre, Chichester from 20th September, 2022.
The course will cover the turbulent period of transition between the 18th and 19th centuries when the music of the Classical era blossomed into Romanticism. We will look at how the vast changes brought about by the French Revolution and the Industrial Revolution were reflected in the music of the times, looking specifically at the music of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven and also many less familiar composers, such as Mehul, Stamitz, Clementi and Martinez.
Angela’s courses are designed for everyone who loves listening to classical music and would like to know more, regardless of their level of knowledge.
